Men commit to work 72 hours per project month. Women are encouraged to commit to work 36 hours per project month.
SOWER projects start on a Monday around the beginning of a month and last for three weeks. A work week is typically Monday through Thursday, with men working six hours per day and ladies working three hours per day.
A typical workday schedule:
7:30 - 8:00 Devotions led by one of the SOWERs including singing, prayer, and Bible study/devotional
8:00 -10:00 Men & ladies work
10:00 -10:30 Break time
10:30 -11:30 Ladies complete their 3 hour workday
10:30 -12:30 Men work
1:30 -3:30 Men complete their 6 hour workday
The week following completion of project work is a “free week.” Members may remain at the ministry (with the host continuing to provide RV space and hookups) to relax or visit the sights in the area if they wish.
