How We're Governed

A nine member Board of Trustees governs the SOWER Ministry. Each year there is an opportunity for the membership to elect or re-elect three Trustees. Each Trustee serves a three year term. Only two consecutive terms may be held. Officers (President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer) are elected at the Annual Board Meeting. Outgoing Trustees may be asked to participate as Advisors, serving in an ad hoc capacity at the discretion of the Board of Trustees.

A Business Meeting of the Board of Trustees is held annually in September at the SOWER office in Lindale TX. Members are encouraged to attend these meetings as they are able. Other meetings via teleconference are held throughout the year as needed.

In addition, several regional SOWER Reunions (Rallies) are held at varying times of the year which are of great benefit to all members where one or more Trustees are usually present to answer questions and take suggestions back to the Board. Members are encouraged to attend SOWER reunions where they meet up with old friends and meet other SOWERs to enjoy fellowship, prayer, fun and food, and learn more about the ministry. Reunions are held annually in four different regions of the U.S.
